OPI I’ve “Red” the Script

OPI I've Red the Script coverHoliday in Hollywood. What an amazing collection that was! From 2007, Holiday in Hollywood is by far still my favorite holiday collection by anyone, not just OPI. It contained some amazing polishes and sadly was one of the last normal holiday collections OPI did. Now their holiday collections always seem to be movie and/or celebrity themed. Ah, nostalgia.

Anyway. I’ve “Red” the Script has become an annual Christmas time tradition. As hard as I may try I never make it through the holiday season without using this polish.

I’ve “Red” the Script is a deep, almost burgundy shimmery red that has the slightest magenta undertone. It really does remind me of a darker version of OPI I’m Not Really a Waitress. I’ve “Red” the Script is incredibly flattering and a classic color.

The formula is marvelous. I used two coats in all my swatches.

I’ve worn this polish twice recently. The first time I used Sally Hansen Dries Instantly top coat and had no problems. But since then I’ve started testing China Glaze No Chip top coat. Despite doing my nails SEVERAL hours before going to bed I woke up the next day with bed nails. So sad 🙁

I’ve “Red” the Script is long discontinued but I couldn’t help but share it! The polish is too pretty to keep to myself 🙂

There are swatches under the jump.

This is pretty! Seems like a slightly deeper richer warmer version of this shade would be Illamasqua’s Scarab. Its very pricey, but worth it for the incredible glow and dimension.

I’m one that is totally find with springing on a classic polish that I know will be worn TO DEATH!

      Scarab looks gorgeous 🙂

Also, try Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat… just as glossy and hard as Seche Vite, but non toxic, and no more “bed nails”!

I’ve tried the Revlon ColorStay top coat and I really liked it. I’ll add the Quick Dry to my to try top coat list (it’s so long! haha).

What do you think?
