Nail Art: Glitter Half Moon Manicure

Half Moon Nail ArtToday I present you the famous (in my mind) manicure that came to me in a dream (I can’t be the only person this happens too…). Yes, I know I sound crazy, but I’m just going to go with it.

I have no idea why my brain came up with this manicure. It’s been ages since I’ve done a half moon manicure; I forgot how much I liked the look.

For the base of the half moon manicure I used China Glaze Pelican Gray. To do the half moons I started out using hole reinforcers but ended up running out. So I had to free hand the rest! I used butter LONDON Royal Navy because it’s SUPER opaque and only required one coat. I then topped just the navy part of the nail with deborah lippmann Va Va Voom.

I love the way this manicure turned out. I wore it for what seemed like ages (I even Instagrammed a picture on day 3 or 4 where I had significant tip wear).

Can’t wait until I dream up another manicure!

There are more swatches under the jump.

Love this mani, looks like sparkling rain or snow drops! I have Va Va Voom coming to me in the mail! Hope to try something like this soon!

      Thank you!

You’re going to LOVE Va Va Voom! It’s definitely one of my favorite glitters released this year.

Lovely and unique! I don’t usually like nail art, it often looks too “crafty” and juvenile for my taste, but this is a sophisticated look. Can’t wait to try it!

I hear you on the nail art. There are definitely ways to do nail art that look chic!

Just checked out the whole DL “jewel heist” collection online… I feel like I “need” (ha ha) several of them, but I’m in no big rush so I’m wondering if they will ever come out in a gift set? Seems like that might be a more economical way to go.

I love the Jewel Heist collection!

Deborah Lippman does sets pretty frequently but so far none for the Jewel Heist collection. Keep your fingers crossed!

What do you think?
