Julep Chloe

Julep Chloe bottleI’ve always had this (what I consider…) strange love of brown nail polish. It all started with OPI Espresso Your Style and I haven’t looked back since!

Julep Chloe is the perfect polish for fall. The official description of Chloe is that it’s a warm cocoa frost. While that isn’t inaccurate, I think a more descriptive description (ha!) is that it’s a red based super shimmery brown.

I absolutely love the color. Especially in the sun! And while the formula is really quite good I sadly had kind of a wonky brush that made application a bit difficult. I used 3 coats in my swatches though I think with a normal brush 2 coats would have been sufficient.

Chloe was part of the November 2013 Julep It Girl Box. That box included Lola which I adore and is my favorite from the box. But Chloe is definitely a close second!

Julep polishes are available at Sephora, but the a monthly subscription service that’s a much more affordable way to get Julep polishes. To get your first month free use the code FREEBOX!

There are swatches under the jump (including a couple of photos taken in sunlight!).

  1. Very pretty! Fun Fact: My disabled gerbil was named Chloe. RIP 🙁

  2. Beautiful, very warm and autumnal… And you have *sunshine*?? I’m so jealous… M., writing from grey and chilly Paris. 🙁

  3. Gorgeous shade! If this doesn’t scream fall, then I don’t know what does.

  4. […] Hansen Pumpkin Queen to create the pumpkin shape. I let that dry slightly then added the stem with Julep Chloe and the triangle eyes with OPI Sapphire in the Snow. Both Chloe and Sapphire in the Snow contain […]
