OPI Warm Me Up

OPI Warm Me Up CoverFor the most part I wasn’t overly excited about OPI’s Holiday 2013 Mariah Carey collection. The promo images were pretty boring (though the liquid sand offerings look a bit more interesting…). That being said, the one polish that did catch my eye didn’t disappoint!

Warm Me Up is a very dark blackened charcoal brown packed with shimmer. The finish is almost frosty. But only almost.

The formula is a bit thin. I used 3 coats in my swatches.

I was pleasantly surprised how pretty this polish is on the nail. In the bottle it falls a bit flat but the shimmer really comes alive on the nail!

That being said, I think this would have fit well into a fall collection. This is not the kind of polish I reach for around the holidays. The good news is I’m getting quite a bit of use out of this polish now, during the late fall.

I haven’t seen this collections in stores (yet) but Warm Me Up is currently available online at drugstore.com and Warm Me Up is part of the mini set for this collection.

There are oodles of swatches under the jump!

  1. The only one I have from this collection is My Favorite Ornament – I liked it so much I even got a back-up bottle.

  2. Oh this is nice, I hadn’t even given the MC collection a second glance, maybe I need to take a longer, second look!

  3. […] OPI Warm Me Up reminded me (at least the base color did…) of Sephora by OPI 212 Sephora. 212 Sephora is one of the most unique polishes in my collection and really perfect for this time of year. […]

  4. I got it at Ulta on clearance for $3.99 a few weeks ago! I was wondering if it had more than gray in it and you answered my question – a bit of brown in there too! Which I like, gives it more depth. I only used 2 coats, seemed pretty opaque. I agree, not an obviously holiday color. Thanks!

What do you think?
