Pure Ice No Means No

Pure Ice No Means No coverLet me just say that I find the name of this polish extremely awkward. And we will leave it at that….

Anyway! Pure Ice sent me this polish ages ago (along with Not Now and All Night Long) but I’ve been kind of dragging my feet. I mean, another shimmery purple? How interesting or unique can this polish actually be!

Well, I was wrong!

No Means No is a medium red toned purple with blue shimmer. What’s great about this polish is on the nail the color actually shifts to blue at certain angles and in certain lights. It’s really quite gorgeous!

The formula was about right for a polish like this. I used three coats in my swatches.

Pure Ice polishes are only available at Wal-Mart and retail for a cool $1.99. Quite a bargain for this polish!

There are oodles of swatches under the jump.

Not my kind of colour, but I can see the charm. I cannot resist blue shimmer. 🙂

      I love it!

I like it. And obviously quite a few people do, since this color is always sold out at both the local Wal-Marts hereabouts…

My Mom always jokes that whatever you’re going to Wal-Mart for will be sold out!

The name might be connected to October, which was Domestic Violence Awareness month, and purple being the ribbon color.

      It’s still awkward!

I know this is really odd to be posting on this entry, but I’ve been looking for a dupe for a 10+ year old bottle of nail polish and this seems pretty close. My question is do you by any chance remember if this was limited edition? I couldn’t find it at my local walmart but I thought I’d ask. Thanks!!

I’m fairly sure this is part of the permanent line. Did you check walmart.com?

What do you think?
