JulieG Sugar Plum Fairy

JulieG Sugar Plum Fairy CoverFor the last few days I have been truly obsessed with this polish. I tweeted about it. I instagramed about it. I was out of control!

But my obsession was for good reason. Sugar Plum Fairy is gorgeous.

This past summer JulieG released the original Frosted Gum Drop polishes. I loved the polishes from that collection (Blueberry Fizz in particular). So, when I spotted the JulieG Holiday 2013 Frosted Gum Drops collection at Rite Aid I couldn’t help put pick up at least one polish!

Sugar Plum Fairy is a blackened royal purple packed with a ridiculous amount of shimmer that dries to a textured finish. The color is gorgeous! And the shimmer really stands out (even in the dark!).

The formula is a bit thick but not particularly difficult to work with. I used two coats in my swatches.

Before this polish I thought I had moved on when it came to textured polishes. But I’m totally smitten again! While none of the other colors in the JulieG line interest me I will definitely be picking up a few from OPI’s holiday offering.

The only place JulieG polishes are sold are in Rite Aid stores. But no worries! If you don’t have a Rite Aid store near you, the collection is available on the Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics website (which offers free shipping on orders over $20 as well as international shipping).

Of course, there are many (many!) swatches under the jump.

  1. I will definitely try to grab it, tho no Rite Aid around here. I did get the original set via Groupon the second time they offered it, and wore the orange for Halloween. I hope this 2nd set is on Groupon too. I imagine this is similar to Zoya Pixiedust Carter, but maybe without the fuchsia glitter? I love most purples but Carter only seemed appropriate for Halloween (also was part of Halloween mani)….great swatches and pix!! 🙂

What do you think?
