I absolutely love Halloween so it’s only natural to mix it with another thing I quite adore; nail polish. Over the years I’ve done quite a few Halloween manicures so I wanted to put them all in one post.
Most of the manicure ideas are pretty simple yet super festive. There are a few that require a bit more time though really, most don’t require much skill!
I’d love to know which manicure is your favorite along with if you’re going to be doing a special Halloween manicure for the holiday!
Manicure idea #1: Use Pink as your inspiration. The singer! Not the color. This manicure is a recreation of a manicure Pink wore. Though, her manicure was not for Halloween, the colors make it a perfect manicure for this time of year. And it’s rather subtle. I used SinfulColor Citrine and Maybelline Express Finish Black Onyx to create this manicure. For more info on this post click here.
Manicure idea #2: Spider Nail Art. I find spiders creepy. But for some reason I really like spider nail art. Spiders are less obvious than going with something like pumpkins yet they still work with the black and orange color combo. I did a full post on this manicure a couple of weeks ago if you want more info on this manicure.
Manicure idea #3: Polka dots. Easy and cute. That’s usually what I’m going for when I do polka dot manicures and that’s exactly what this manicure is! Using Orly Goth instead of a straight black base adds a little something extra. You can get all the info on this manicure here.
Manicure idea #4: Make a simple ghost mani glow. A really basic manicure can go to the next level by just adding some glow in the dark polish! This manicure is simple yet has a surprise in dim lighting when the ghost will glow. For all the details click here.
Manicure idea #5: Go a little gruesome. It’s Halloween so going a little dead chic is totally ok. Blood drip nails are really easy to create and don’t have to be perfect. Funny enough, this manicure was actually runway inspired. Go figure!
Manicure idea #6: Be a crazy cat lady. I love cats, though I only have one. He’s quite the handful. But I love this cat manicure! It was actually inspired by Katie’s cat, Cinder, and easier to do than you might think.
Manicure idea #7: Go white, black and orange. Yes, they are your traditional Halloween colors. But layering them using an eyeshadow applicator gives the colors a different twist. I started out with a white base (Ulta Snow White) then added the orange (SinfulColors Citrine) and finally added the black (JulieG Black Sheep).
And if all else fails….there are always nail appliques! My favorite Halloween nail appliques this year are from Avon 🙂
