Nail Art: 2013 Postseason Atlanta Braves Manicure

Atlanta Braves Nail ArtI come from a baseball family. One of my grandfathers was a pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. The other is the biggest Yankees fan on the planet (and he’s from Birmingham….go figure). Yet when I was in second or third grade I fell in love with a then rookie ball player named Chipper Jones. From that day on I’ve been a Braves fan.

This season the Braves made the playoffs. They are currently playing the LA Dodgers in the National League Division Series. Me being me this of course meant a really good excuse to do some nail art.

For this manicure I used Ulta Snow White, wet n wild megalast I Red a Good Book and OPI Dating a Royal. I drew the baseball threads using a small nail art brush from my ebay nail art brush set and the Braves logo I is actually a DIY nail decal. No matter how hard I try I can’t draw the Braves A directly on my nail!

I really like the way this manicure turned out. Granted, it’s totally in your face and kind of obnoxious. But, the postseason makes that ok!

There are a couple more swatches below the jump.

Happy MLB postseason!

  1. Such an original mani, I love it!

  2. I’m a little late, but yay baseball manicures!

Sorry about the Braves’ recent elimination (not as sorry as I am that the Yankees didn’t even make it to the postseason). You’ve really got Altanta’s ‘A’ down and I will definitely be emulating your baseball style next season!

Thought I’d share the nails I wore to “Mariano Rivera Day” at Yankee Stadium last month: I LOVE it when someone at a game notices my nails! Everyone’s wearing t-shirts, jerseys, and caps, but baseball manicures really surprise other fans and even stadium employees.

  3. […] a color that is associated with a ton of teams. I can definitely see myself using this in my next Atlanta Braves manicure! Plus, I just really love the […]
