Cover Girl Silver Lining

Cover Girl Silver LiningThis is a polish I picked up because it was part of my Cover Girl Nailgating Carolina Panthers manicure. Honestly, I thought this polish was going to be a disaster. Between the pictures online and the name of the polish I thought the formula was going to be like OPI It’s Totally Fort Worth It. I am more than happy to report I was completely wrong!

Silver Lining is a very light gray (almost looks like a slightly grungy white…) with a pearl finish. It’s a completely unique color in my nail polish stash and I must admit, I kind of love it.

If anything is obvious from reading this blog it’s that I’m not really one for understated nails. But, I do love polishes that are neutral and understated yet interesting and different. Silver Lining is both of those things. Plus, it’s super flattering on the nail!

The formula is straight up fantastic. It’s a very opaque formula and slightly thick…but the good kind of thick that’s easy to work with. I used just two coats in my swatches.

I’m quite happy to Silver Lining in my nail polish arsenal. I picked this polish up from drugstore.com but it should be available anywhere Cover Girl is sold!

There are swatches below the jump 🙂
