Every year on October 1st I put up my Halloween decorations (and get kind of, ok really excited about it). This excitement naturally makes its way to my nails.
I was browsing previous Halloween posts and ran across my spider web nails from last year. I wanted to continue with the spider theme but do a manicure that was a bit less busy and incorporated the color orange.
This was an easy manicure to do. I used NYC Times Square Tangerine Creme (that’s a mouth full!) as the base for the orange nails and JulieG Black Sheep for the black nails. Once the orange polish dried I used a large, DIY dotting tool to create the body of the spider. Then I used a small detail brush from the nail art brush set I got from eBay to draw the legs of the spider as well as the spider web.
To add the eyes I used a small dotting tool (also from my eBay nail art set) and Ulta Snow White.
I really loved the end result. I loved it so much, in fact, I tweeted a picture as I was doing the manicure!
This is great if you don’t want something really busy yet still want to be festive 🙂
Of course, there are swatches below the jump.
Can’t wait to share some more Halloween nail art ideas with y’all!
