Va Va Voom is a gorgeous glitter polish from deborah lippman’s latest collection; Jewel Heist. It has various sized blue hex glitter that have a bit of a holographic effect suspended in a sheer blue base. I absolutely love this as a glitter topper over blue polishes. Especially dark blues (my favorite combo so far is Va Va Voom over deborah lippmann Rolling In The Deep).
I have found applying 2 coats of Va Va Voom gives the finished manicure really good depth. It applies easily and the glitter lays flat on the nail without me manipulating the glitter.
So all of those things are why I really do love this polish. The thing I hate about this polish is removing it. Oh my goodness it is a pain to remove. Even using every trick in the book (including my normal nail polish removal method and adding foil to the mix) the glitter just won’t come off. That being said, it’s like an abusive relationship. I keep using Va Va Voom because I love it so much.
There’s alot going on under the jump. There are swatches of Va Va Voom over Rolling in the Deep (including in natural light as well as direct sunlight…), swatches of Va Va Voom over Cover Girl Out of the Blue and a bonus swatch of a random Auburn mani I did using Rolling in the Deep, Va Va Voom and MAC Morange.
