Essie – After School Boy Blazer

Essie - After School Boy BlazerFall is just around the corner! There are tons of things that mean “Fall” to me… pumpkin beer, changing leaves, late nights around a fire pit, and…. dark nail polish! I’m loving my two choices from Essie’s Fall 2013 Collection and I have a little confession… For as fabulous as For The Twill of It is – I have been LIVING in this polish, almost non stop since it arrived in my mail box.

After School Boy Blazer is the darkest navy blue creme I have – it’s almost black, but not quite. It’s inky and beautiful. Although, it is very similar to its sister polish over in OPI’s San Fran Collection: Incognito in Sausalito- they are NOT dupes. You probably don’t need both though, so it’d come down to personal preference.

The application was probably the best part – I used two coats, but you could easily just use one. It was SO smooth – it wasn’t too thin, not too thick, perfectly pigmented. Ahhh, love.

In case you missed it, a few weeks ago I was playing around with After School Boy Blazer and Good as Gold and loved the result so much that I posted it on instagram - you can also check it out below.

Happy Monday!

  1. Very pretty Autumn polish! Reminds me of Butter London Royal Navy

  2. I am with you! Can’t get enough of navy polishes. I have picked up 3 so far this fall and trying to restrain myself from getting more. There is something timeless, flattering and so fashion about them. This looks spectacular on you- I can see why you love it.

  3. […] 4. Navy: My mother always tells me navy never goes out of style. And to an extent she’s right. But, navy is everywhere this fall. And it’s a great alternative to black polish (that really does never go out of style!). My new favorite navy is deborah lippmann Rolling in the Deep. But there are a slew of wonderful navy polishes out there including butter LONDON Royal Navy and Essie After School Boy Blazer. […]
