Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Loden Green

Sally Hansen CSM - Loden GreenConfession: I guess because my first few experiences with Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure line weren’t the best, I haven’t really paid all that much attention to them over the past few years. Sure I’ve picked up a few here and there, but they have never been my go-to drugstore line of choice. But, a few weeks ago Walgreens had a 2 for $10 deal with $1 off coupons, I ended up going home with two (for $8!) –from the Limited Edition Rent the Runway Display - Loden Green and Perfectly Poppy.

I was curious about the name… so after some light research (thanks, Google!) it turns out that Loden Green refers to a thick, heavily fulled, waterproof fabric, used in coats and jackets for cold climates – which is….green! Loden Green is absolutely perfect fall polish! It’s an olive green creme with yellow undertones. It’d make a great on-trend addition to your collection this fall!

The application was so wonderful – I used two coats with absolutely no issues. I’m a fan. The Complete Salon Manicure is definitely back on my radar. Well done, Sally Hansen.

  1. Interesting info on the meaning of Loden green. I couldn’t wait to get this polish from the moment the photos came out. So I was not exaggerating when I told my fave cosmetics SA at Walgreens I had been waiting for months for this one! Of all the designer series polishes, I have loved the Prabal Gurung ones the best. Check out Nightwatch, too. Beautiful navy. Thanks for the swatches.

    • Yeah! I thought it was really interesting too! I love names like Loden Green over more obvious ones… Rose Red or something. I like learning little tid bits of info :)

  2. […] my favorite of the two ended up being Fight Like a Girl. It’s along the same lines as Sally Hansen Loden Green except the formula is a jelly. We all know I love a good jelly […]
