Why hello, old friend! Pacific Blue has been a part of my nail polish collection for years. I still remember picking it up way back in 2010 when it was released. Charlotte was having a particularly cold January and I was so happy to see spring polishes! It turned out to be a good investment as Pacific Blue has become a favorite (although, I do sometimes forget how pretty it is…). It’s been a constant pedicure color and pool mani color all summer!
Pacific Blue is a vibrant periwinkle blue creme. This is a color that definitely stands out!
The formula is good, but not great. I find the formula is slightly too thin and therefore can be difficult to work with. I used three coats in my swatches.
I did come across a dupe for this polish; Sally Girl Epic. Sally Girl is a line of mini polishes sold at Sally Beauty Supply for under a dollar. Epic has a slightly better formula than Pacific Blue and the color is a dead match. There is a comparison below the jump.
Also below the jump you will find a slew of Pacific Blue swatches. Need a good laugh? Check out this Sally Hansen website fail from last summer involving Pacific Blue 🙂
Note (6/21/14): Sally Hansen has changed Pacific Blue. There is still a Pacific Blue in the Xtreme Wear line but it no longer looks like this version of Pacific Blue. Sally Girl Epic, however, is still available on the Sally Beauty Supply website.
