Happy Monday! Another week has come and gone, summer is flying by! You know, I’m going to tell you a secret… I actually really like Mondays. I love the gift of a clean slate and all of the potential that a new week has to offer. It’s easier for me to clear my mind of mistakes and let downs of a previous week than let’s say… a previous day. Mondays – to me – are magical… and so is this nail polish!
Alli found OPI’s San Francisco Collection at her Ulta a day before I went to mine – She picked up Peace & Love & OPI and Incognito in Sausalito – both polishes I’d been eying but we typically try to get different polishes from each collection. Number one on my list was Alcatraz Rocks – but my Ulta didn’t have any of the Liquid Sand polishes (yet?). I didn’t let that slow me down and the first polish to jump out at me was First Date at Golden Gate – so I picked it up and walked around and decided I really didn’t need another red. So what did I pick up next? Another red (of course): Lost On Lombard. So… I put that down. I finally settled in on I Knead Sour-Dough because I didn’t think I had anything like it – and that seems to be my modus operandi these days.
I Knead Sour-Dough is described as a toasty warm brown. Works for me! When I was driving around today the word that kept coming to mind was “cozy.” It’s pretty in any light but really glows in the sun. IKSD applied so smoothly – I love how OPI polishes for the most part tend to just glide onto my nails – no streaks, no bubbles, no hassle. I used two coats for my pictures, but on my right hand I actually only used one – yep, that’s right – a one coater. It’s perfectly perfect.
While I’m loving the summer heat, I’m dying to dive right into some of my favorite fall polish shades and this will be high on my list come October and November. I can see it paired perfectly with my favorite ivory cable knit sweater.
Have you scoped out the San Francisco Collection yet? What’d you pick up? Let me know in the comments!
Just in case you kneaded more pictures:
