Every Sunday I cook a full blown, made from scratch meal for my family. It’s the only way I can guarantee my brother will see our 92 year old grandfather at least once a week. Plus, I try a new recipe every Sunday. It’s fun to experiment though kind of cruel to use my closest relatives as guinea pigs.
Due to this Sunday’s are quite rough on my nails which is problematic when I have plans on Sunday night. I was super crunched for time and I will not leave the house without perfect nails so I decided a matte nail polish was my perfect solution.
Nora had been sitting on my untrieds table (which is actually an in table sewing machine that one day I will learn how to use…) for awhile. It’s been awhile since I’ve used a matte polish. I forgot how pretty they can be!
This particular polish is a deep gray with the slightest purple undertone packed with silver shimmer. The formula is wonderful (I used 2 coats) and it dries to a satin finish.
Matte polishes are great to have in your collection for when you are in a time crunch or just craving a different look.
Julep polishes are available at Sephora or you can sign up to get a monthly box (which, price wise, is a much better deal!) over on Julep.com. The first month’s box is free when you use the code FREEBOX.
