The fall 2013 OPI San Francisco collection has officially hit stores. Admittedly, I wasn’t all that excited about this collection. I much prefer when OPI does European themed collections. But, there were a few I just HAD to have. One was Incognito in Sausalito. I’m a sucker for dark colored cremes plus, how can you NOT love the name!?
The polishes in this collection are split into 4 categories; sky and sea shades, chocolaty hues, east meets west coast reds and flower gardens of the Golden Gate Park. Incognito in Sausalito is, of course, part of the sky and sea shades.
OPI describes Incognito in Sausalito as an almost-black blue creme. What I love about this color is that it’s a deep, blackened blue that never crosses over into navy. This makes the color feel modern and chic.
Granted, in most lights, Incognito in Sausalito will look black. That being said, I love polishes like that because against my super pale skintone it makes the dark polish look much less harsh.
My love affair with nail polish started thanks to OPI’s I’m Not Really a Waitress. Whenever I go awhile without wearing an OPI polish I am reminded why I love the brand so much. The formula of this polish is amazing. Seriously, amazing. This could be a one coater on shorter nails. It applies beautifully. The formula is smooth and opaque and just AMAZING.
That being said, as with most polishes in this color range, it will stain! So make sure to use a base coat.
So far the only place I’ve seen a display for this collection is at Ulta. It is worth noting the Ulta I went to did not have the liquid sand polishes from this collection. If you’ve seen the liquid sand polishes please leave a comment! Maybe the Ulta near me is just slow…
Have you gotten any polishes from the new San Francisco line yet? I’ve got my eye on a few more!
