Wet-n-Wild – Waves of Enchantment

WnW - Waves (Sun)Good afternoon!! Since Otis decided to eat my light box – I’m presenting you with an old favorite today! I’m hoping to make a new light box this afternoon (using Alli’s DIY Lightbox post) and *fingers crossed* my goal is to post again this evening.

Wet-n-Wild’s Waves of Enchantment was released as a part of the much sought after Mermaids Cove collection in 2011. I went on a rather ridiculous drug store scavenger hunt for this polish that summer – but I just knew I had to have it!

WoE is a peachy pink coral packed with gold glitter. It applies perfectly with 2 coats, though for these swatches I put on a third to freshen it up after my weekend in Virginia Beach. Unfortunately, this was a limited edition display, and while I found it on Amazon, it was 19.99 – way too expensive. The good news for you is that it’s a dupe for ZOYA’s Rica so if you’re finding yourself absolutely needing this color you can still get the same look.

Edit: For an easier and cheaper lemming fix – try Spoiled’s Shrimp on the Barbie (Thanks Leissa!)

I have a few more pictures below including a very special visitor that wanted to help me take pictures this morning!

Happy Monday!

PS – If you’d like to read my original post on Waves of Enchantment you can find it here!

Look at how different this polish looks in the shade!

My little helper! This is Bear (aka Lucy) she’s the neighborhood cat and I love her to bits.

Do you know of any other colors that are similar to this? I wish I had known about it back in 2011. It’s such a gorgeous color! I know you posted the Zoya alternative but that brand is a bit out of my price range (I’m a sucker for 2.00 polishes). I was just wondering if you guys knew of anything that was similar but cheaper. Thank you!

Let me do some digging and I’ll also ask Alli 🙂

I can’t think of any off the top of my head at a lower price point. Zoya is known for polishes with this type of finish.

They always have amazing deals on the zoya website…perhaps keep your eye out for a sale!

Check out Spoiled – Shrimp on the Barbie recommended by Leissa – it’s right on your point for your price range!

Great idea! Spoiled is one of my favorite lines of polish too so I don’t know why I didn’t catch that before! Thanks guys!

Let me know if you try it out! I’m always up for a great polish under 2.00 🙂

I bought Shrimp on the Barbie and tried it out last week and I loved it! Now I don’t feel sad that I didn’t get Waves of Enchantment!

Spoiled Shrimp on the Barbie is a really good alternative!!! It helped squash my lemming 🙂

Oh that looks like a great alternative!!!

I loved the Mermaids Cove collection so much, but I never found it in So Cal, so I had to come up with “close enough” options…this was one of the more successful versions I was able to find 😉

Updated the post to include your recommendation – thanks again, Leissa!
