butter LONDON Poole

butter LONDON Poole 3It’s rare I actually pick up a butter LONDON polish. While I absolutely love the brand the polishes are expensive at $15 a bottle so I try to limit myself.

butter LONDON’s Summer Holiday 2013 collection is a mixed bag in terms of colors and finishes. Poole is the only creme in the collection and I was instantly drawn to it.

Poole is a robin’s egg blue creme that has the slightest bit of dustiness to it. It’s similar in color to Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter and Wet n Wild Megalast I Need a Refresh-mint but neither are exact dupes.

The formula was fine though not fantastic. I needed three coats it get an opaque, even color.

In case you were curious as to where the name comes from Poole is a resort town in southern England.

I truly am addicted to this polish. No, it’s not the most unique color ever, but there’s something subtle and chic about it. I even added a little glitter to it (PISTOL polish Run The Word) to brighten up my Monday.

As always, there are additional swatches below the jump!

  1. […] 3. Tiffany Blue: Unlike the dusty greens for spring 2013, summer greens are are clean and have a blue undertone. Just like that famous Tiffany blue! China Glaze For Audrey is probably the most easily obtainable Tiffany blue polish, but there are other options like my favorite, Finger Paints Tiffany Imposter, and wet n wild megalast I Need a Refresh-mint. A slightly more subtle option is butter LONDON Poole. […]

  2. I keep “visiting” this shade at Ulta, and your gorgeous swatch is tempting me to snap it up… I already have 2 other colors in the robin’s egg vicinity, but this one is just SO pretty.

  3. This is more of a sea green than robin’s egg (blue), hence the inspiration from Poole, Dorset. This could possibly be my favourite Butter London polish! xXx
