I’m always excited to try new nail polish brands. Especially brands that are trying to do things a bit differently. bondi polishes are 5 free and 100% of the profits go to a non-profit organization like the Food Bank for New York.
Richard, the founder of bondi New York, contacted me asking if I wanted to try their polish. I browsed their website and admittedly they do have alot of pretty colors. But when I saw they had a polish called Strawberry Fields and I knew I had to try it!
I grew up in a household that was a bit Beatles crazy. My mother loves John Lennon and that love wore off on me. I was the crazy girl in high school who had a copy of Rubber Soul along with the Backstreet Boys Millennium in her car AT ALL TIMES. There is a part of Central Park in New York known as Strawberry Fields that pays tribute to John Lennon which most certainly was the inspiration for this nail polish.
Strawberry Fields is an almost coral pink creme with a bit of an orange undertone. The color is really gorgeous and the formula is equally fantastic. I used just 2 coats in my swatches.
Overall I was happy with this polish (and I do really love the bottle….). These polishes are a little pricey at $15 a bottle but I do think the quality is comparable to other high end polishes in a similar price range. Plus, if you’re a New York City nut, you will LOVE the polish names.
As always, there are more swatches below the jump.
