JulieG Black Sheep (+ Shimmer Polish Jennifer)

JulieG Black SheepIf you do any kind of nail art there are 2 polishes that are an absolutely must to have in your collection; a perfect white creme and perfect black creme. I found my perfect white creme years ago (I’m looking at you Ulta Snow White) but I’ve never really found my perfect black creme. So when I saw that a black creme was being added to JulieG’s permanent line I figured I’d give it a try since in the past I’ve had really good luck with JulieG polishes.

Black Sheep is a simple black creme with a fabulous formula. This could be a one coater with careful application but I did use two coats in my swatches.

No this isn’t the most amazing or revolutionary polish ever (and certainly the most common of the new polishes from the JulieG line I have) but if you’re looking for a good basic black that won’t break the bank this is a great option.

As awesome as this polish is I certainly wasn’t going to be caught wearing a plain old black manicure. I used Shimmer Polish Jessica to add an accent nail. It was a great manicure for the last dose of winter we’re getting here in Charlotte.

There are additional swatches of Black Sheep below the jump as well as my manicure with Shimmer Polish Jennifer 🙂

  1. Looks very frosty! But a good black goes with anything. I’d love to see it with a flakie topcoat.

I’m hoping to see the JulieG frosted gumdrops collection soon! I’m usually not much for textured, but seeing as they put a candy spin on it…

  2. Have you tried Revlon’s Black Magic? according to Karen from Beautygeeks it’s a one coat wonder. I don’t know if it’s only available in Canada though.

What do you think?
