China Glaze Fancy Pants

China Glaze Fancy PantsI’m quickly becoming a serious fan of China Glaze’s Spring 2013 Avant Garden collection. From the first promo images I saw I knew I needed Fancy Pants in my life. Like Mimosa’s Before Mani’s, Fancy Pants is from the Blooming Brights half of the collection.

China Glaze describes Fancy Pants as an indigo with pink and purple shimmer. The shimmer is very subtle though does come alive in the sun. It’s a very pretty color.

The formula is fantastic. I used just two coats in my swatches.

The shimmer is what makes this polish unique. I don’t have any dupes in my collection. I thought Fancy Pants might be similar to Finger Paints Grape Gumball but Grape Gumball is a lighter purple and the shimmer is quite different.

Below the jump there are more swatches of Fancy Pants including pictures in direct sunlight. The color is more accurate in the swatches from my lightbox but the sun really brings out the shimmer :)
