Sometimes I hate having so much nail polish because gorgeous polishes like Jag-u-are get lost in the shuffle! I picked this polish up a couple years ago at Beauty Brands and wore it once. What a waste! I’m glad I’ve resdiscovered it.
Jag-u-are is a gorgeous cherry red packed with gold shimmer. The shimmer gives this polish a lovely glow (or as essie would say….gleam) that makes it unique.
The formula is a bit on the thin side but not runny. I used three coats in my swatches. That being said, my bottle is a black label Essie so it’s possible the new formula is different.
Though Jag-u-are was originally released as part of Essie’s winter 2006 Hot for Spots collection, it is still part of their permanent line.
After I wore this for a couple of days I added a wreath to my ring finger. It is the perfect Christmas manicure! There are swatches of that below the jump.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. I’d love to know what you rocked on your nails this Christmas!
The wreath was super easy to do. I used one of my DIY dotting tools to do the wreath and the bow. Then added a bit of glitter on top of the wreath for some sparkle. The polishes I used are as follows: Sally Hansen Going Green, Orly Rage and wet n wild Speak When Spoken To.
