Trick or Treat: DIY Spider Web Nails

I am a sucker for Halloween. I love everything about it. My love of the holiday always makes its way onto my nails every year so up until the 31st I’m going to be doing several posts on easy Halloween nail art.

To kick things off I did some spider web nail art. This was so simple. All that I used was a basic black nail polish and a white striper polish.

Below the jump there is a step by step guide on how to get the spider web design.

Drawing the spider web is really simple. Start off with a completely dry black base (I used Maybelline Express Finish in Black Onyx).  Then start to draw the web. Make sure that the straight lines are dry before beginning on the curved lines to fill in the web so you don’t smudge any polish.

Once all the white polish is dry just top the design with a top coat and that’s it!

For my particular manicure I did the spider web on my thumb and ring finger nails. If you do spider webs on all your nails it looks really busy.

Anyway, I hope you give this a try and let me know if you have any questions!

  1. Thanks – this is looking easy enough that I probably can do it! Out will come my Stripe Rite white cream this weekend. I need to practice on a wheel maybe first.

  2. Real simple when you are using your dominant hand, but when you try to do it on the other hand………….lol. I wish i was ambidextrous (sigh).

What do you think?
