As soon as we saw display pictures of the Maybelline Fashion Week 2011 Nail Polish display – Alli said that “the gold one” would look “sooo good” on me – but the gold in the display picture instantly reminded me of OPI’s Curry Up Don’t be Late, so I was a little hesitant…but I’m glad I was wrong and she was right – they’re nothing alike.
Gold Accessory is a frosty metallic gold – and while I have plenty of gold polishes – this one is pretty unique for me – most of mine are lighter (like OPI’s Glitzerland) or more yellow (like Milani’s 3D) or just straight glitter (like OPI’s Gift of Gold). – this is perfect for Fall and fits in well with the metallic trend of the season.
I picked this up at Rite Aid for 4.15. Great polish, great price. The application was good – I used three coats they went on smooth and dried quickly. Maybelline Express Finish is definitely my favorite fast dry line, beating out Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri because of the bottle shape and brush are far superior.
I love the Maybelline Fashion Week displays – I had great luck last year with Grey-T Glamour.
