Easing into Fall: OPI Lincoln Park at Midnight

The other day my friend Tyler tweeted me before going to get a pedicure wanting to know if it was too early for the Lincoln Park’s. I promptly responded “hell no! I’m wearing LPAM right now!”. Despite it still being ridiculously hot here, Fall is coming (or so I’ve been promised) and I’m getting into the Fall mood.

One of the first dark polishes I reach for when the seasons are changing is Lincoln Park at Midnight.  When I pulled it out of my Melmer this year I had a bit of a panic attack. My bottle is nearing half empty! Another thing I noticed about my bottle was the $7.50 price tag. I miss those days!

LPAM is a gorgeous blackened purple packed with microglitter. Indoors it does appear to be basically black but in the sun it is just gorgeous.

Application and wear from this polish is amazing. Two coats are all you need for even opaque color.

I really do believe this is a necessity in any polish collection. I’m still mulling over whether or not to get a back up. The official word from OPI is that this polish is still available but in “limited release.” No idea what that actually means, but the next time I see it I may just have to pick up a back up.

Check out the macro shot below the jump. The shimmer is gorgeous 🙂
