First of all, the name of this nail polish just makes me cringe. As Katie said, it literally sounds like something that would come on a dish at a cheap Chinese restaurant. Saucy Brown, really Maybelline!?

Anyway, on to the nail polish. Saucy Brown is a deep mauve creme. When I looked at it in the bottle I thought it was really ugly. But, on the nail, I actually really love this color. It’s a good neutral that isn’t boring and makes a wonderful transition color between Winter and Spring.

Application was good. I used three coats and had even, opaque color. The bottle boasts about some special brush that is supposed to fan out to make it easier to apply. Yes, the brush does fan out a bit, but I don’t think it makes much different in terms of application.

This color is very similar to Essie Angora Cardi and Barielle Tight Knit.

I have two bottles of this polish, so I thought I give one away. All you have to do to entire is comment on or like the this Facebook status update on The Daily Varnish’s Facebook page. Deadline is Sunday at midnight Eastern.

What do you think?
