A soft sandy beige? Well, I guess the website description is pretty accurate – but I was really disappointed with essie’s Sand Tropez. I’d been wanting to test out the retail versions for a while – especially after Alli had a good experience with Coat Azure.
Formula wise – it wasn’t any better or worse than the other essie nail polishes that I own – and unlike everyone else I don’t really mind the new bottle. I like the essie logo so much that I kind of like the sticker (shhh – don’t tell).
Back to the color – when I think sand, I don’t think…. this. I’m always attracted to these neutral, nude-ish, soft shades – and I’m almost always disappointed. Not to mention that this gives me lobster hands – I chose the least lobster-ish picture. I used 3 coats to make it even and a coat of Seche Vite. Overall – I know I’ll never open this bottle again – for any reason. I am looking forward to showing you the other essie I got – Cute as a Button (Super cute coral!).
