wet N wild fastdry Party of Five Glitters

Wet n Wild Party of Five GlittersThis is the second polish I have tried from wet N wild’s new fastdry line. The first one I tried (Gray’s Anatomy) is VERY different from this one, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

Party of Five Glitters is large silver glitter with, quite literally, a party of five smaller glitters; green, blue, purple, red and gold, suspended in a clear base. The glitter is quite sparse. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue as my base and topped it with three coats of Party of Five Glitters. You have to wait awhile between coats to really let the glitter coats dry so the glitter doesn’t move when putting on the next coat.

There has been some talk that this is a dupe of Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday. It’s not. It is the same idea (and has some similarities in terms of the color of the glitters), but Happy Birthday has more colors and different shaped glitter (check out a good swatch here). It is definitely a good alternative (better than Milani Gem, in my opinion), but not a dupe.

Overall, I’m just kind of eh about Party of Five Glitters. I like my glitters to be more dense than this.

The only place I’ve spotted this line so far is at Walgreens. These polishes retail for $1.99.

ETA: There are two versions of this polish! If you have a version of this without the gold glitter, you have this version.

  1. hm, I’ve seen several blog posts about this polish that say it has gold in it, but my bottle doesn’t! Weird! In any case, I’m wearing it over Essence Just Rock It! right now, and it looks fab 🙂
