China Glaze Mummy May I

China Glaze Mummy May II spotted China Gaze’s 2010 Halloween Collection, Awakening, on clearance at Sally Beauty Supply and just couldn’t resist picking this polish up. When the collection originally came out I passed on all of the polishes. Mummy May I was really the only one that caught my eye and it is somewhat similar to Wet n Wild Night Prowl. But for $1.99 I couldn’t pass it up!

Mummy May I has a (very) deep purple jelly packed with purple/fuchsia glitter. After the first coat you can really no longer tell the base is not just black. Application on this was decent. The first coat was very streaky but it evened out nicely in three coats.

This is worth the $1.99 though I would not have paid full price for it. Wet n wild Night Prowl really is a good alternative (I’ll post a comparison post in a couple days). Both Sally’s near me had alot of these polishes left, so as of now this shouldn’t be a hard polish to find.

  1. Out of the Awakenings Collection, Mummy May I is my least favorite, with Zombie Zest being my favorite. I also have Ick-A-Body.

I’ve had WnW’s Night Prowler for a while, but never used it. I agree, it’s a good alternative to MMI.

What do you think?
