Sephora by OPI 212 Sephora

Sephora by OPI 212 SephoraOriginally this polish was released in honor of the Sephora store opening in Times Square. At that time it was available only at the Times Square Sephora and online. But luckily they have rerealeased it for a limited time as part of their 2010 Holiday Gem collection. This time it is available in all stores as well as online.

Sephora describes 212 Sephora as “an opaque smoky black with iridescent, gold and copper chunky glitter.” That is for the most part accurate. There are a couple kinds of glitter in this polish. There is your regular chunky glitter. It’s silver but is holographic in the sun. Then there is your flaky glitter that flashes orange and green. The base color of this polish is a smoky black but due to all the glitter it looks like a bronze polish much of the time.

Application of this polish was good. It’s a tad on the thin side, so I did use 3 coats. And due to the glitter it can feel a little rough so I used a nice thick coat of Essie Good to Go! topcoat.

This is definitely a unique polish. I literally have NOTHING like it. The closest thing I can think of is OPI My Private Jet, but the only similarities they really share is the base color and the fact that they both have holographic glitter.

Even though I’m not really a fan of the flaky glitter polishes, I’m glad I picked this up. It’s so unique and I can’t stop staring at my nails, which at least for me, is the sign of a truly awesome nail polish.
