I was so excited when I saw Avon was coming out with some new, interesting nail polish colors. I’ve always had great luck with Avon polishes in the past and this one did not disappoint. I have never been into the mint green craze. I much prefer blues and purples if I’m going to an odd or trendy color.
Jade is not what I would call mint green, but it is sort of in that family. It’s a tad darker than most mint greens which makes it a bit more flattering for me, as I am so pale.
Application of this polish was amazing! After having so many problems with the application of pale cremes (hello OPI What’s with the Cattitude?) my expectations were low. This formula while someone thin, is very opaque. The first coat was a bit streaky, but a second coat was all I needed to even it out and get the color opaque. I was also impressed with the brush. It’s a little longer than your average brush, but is flat very easy to control.
If you are like me and have been resisting the mint green trend, this is a great way to hop on the bandwagon. Great color, great formula, and not expensive.
The retail price for this polish is $5, but Avon is always running specials. When I purchased this they had a whole list of things you could buy 1 at full price and get 1 for $.99 (mix and match). I paid half price. This may be the most impressive $3 nail polish I own 🙂
Hope everyone has a great weekend,
