Russian Navy SUEDE is from OPI’s 2009 Suede Collection. At first I was incredibly sceptical of this collection because I had such a bad experience with the Matte Collection, but I have come to love polishes from the Suede Collection. And this polish is no exception.
As with other polishes from this collection, the suede version of Russian Navy is nothing like the original Russian Navy (which is still one of my personal favorite polishes). Russian Navy suede is a navy polish with a tone of silver microglitter. The direction say not to use a basecoat, but I do anyway to avoid staining. I do not believe it has any adverse effects on the wear or look of the polish.
Application is always fun with matte polishes. I used two coats. The formula dries EXTREMElY quickly. So you have to work fast if you make any mistakes.
Happy Saturday 🙂
