I picked up Going Green along with Pacific Blue when Sally Hansen released their new Xtreme Wear colors for Spring. I was really excited about this color, but I kept passing it by to try other untried polishes. This polish kind of intimidated me. I love green polishes, but have traditionally stuck to muted versions of green, like OPI Jade is the New Black or Chi Hot Ring Illusions Around Saturn.
Sally Hansen claims Going Green is a creme, but it is not. In reality, Going Green is a frosted Kelly green. The formula was great (as with all Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes); applied evenly in two coats. The brush is flat but not wide like the Complete Salon Manicure brushes and squared.
I go back and forth with this color. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I think it’s too green. Even in the South it is still winter. I really wish companies would wait to release Spring shades until it was at least closer to Spring! Come the hot summer months I think I will find myself loving this color.
