Yes….I Can-Can! is from my all time favorite OPI collection; La Collection de France. Released in the Fall of 2008, La Collection de France is responsible for two of my favorite polishes (Lourve Me, Lourve Me Not and We’ll Always have Paris).
When France was originally released I passed on Yes…I Can-Can!. There were just too many other colors in that collection that I needed to own. But when I saw OPI was discontinuing Yes…I Can-Can!, I decided it was time to finally pick it up, and I’m glad I did.
Yes…I Can-Can! is a reddish purple creme with just a bit of silver microglitter. It isn’t so much microglitter as it is a little shine. As is expected, the polish applied like a dream, no streaks and opaque in two coats.
While I love this color, it is certainly not what I could consider unique. Once I had it on my nails, I realized it looked quite a bit like some other polishes I own.
As you can see, it is similar, but not an exact dupe, of a few polishes in my collection. OPI We’ll Always have Paris is slightly redder, and is a creme. OPI Black Cherry Chutney (I forgot how much I love this color!) has red microglitter in a darker, more black base. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Flirt is essentially a Black Cherry Chutney dupe except it has a bit less glitter.
For a non nail polish fanatic, owning all of these polishes probably doesn’t make much if any sense. But I love a good vampy plum especially when it comes with a little shine!
